Privacy and cookies

Bella Casa Cabinetry of Tennessee runs this site. We have tried to keep what happens here small enough to describe in full on one page, and this page is written from the site’s own code rather than from a template.

What loads before you choose

Nothing from anyone else. Until you accept analytics, this site makes no request to any other company, sets no cookies, and stores nothing in your browser. The typefaces are served from this site rather than from Google. The service-area map is drawn by the site itself rather than embedded from a mapping provider. There is no chat widget, no advertising pixel, and no tag manager.

Analytics, if you turn it on

If you accept, the site loads Google Analytics, which tells us which pages people read and roughly where they arrived from. It is the only thing on this site that loads from another company. It sets two cookies in your browser, _ga and a second beginning _ga_, which Google uses to recognise a returning browser. If you later switch analytics off we delete those cookies and reload the page so the script is gone.

We do not use analytics to advertise to you, and we do not run retargeting. If that ever changes it needs its own separate question, because agreeing to be counted is not the same as agreeing to be followed.

The record of your choice

Your answer is kept in your browser’s local storage under bellacasa-consent. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it holds only what you chose and when. That is why a visitor who declines ends up with no cookies at all. Clearing your browser data removes it and we will ask again. We also ask again after 365 days, because consent should not be permanent, and if we ever change what we are asking about we ask again from scratch rather than carrying an old answer over.

When you contact us

The form on this site asks for your name, email address, phone number, the kind of project, and your message. Submitting it sends those details to us by email so we can reply. They are not sold, and they are not added to an advertising audience.

The email is delivered by Resend, our email provider, and your message reaches our inbox and stays there like any other email. Our server also looks at your IP address at the moment you submit, only to stop the form being used to send bulk spam. It is held in memory for a few minutes and never written to a database. Texting, calling or emailing us directly works the same way and reaches the same people.

Where the site is hosted

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs of requests as any web host does. That happens whether or not you accept analytics, and it is a normal part of serving a website rather than something we use to track you.

Changing your mind

Use the controls above, or the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. Turning analytics off is exactly as easy as turning it on, and it takes effect straight away.
