Custom, semi-custom, and stock are three different products at three different prices. Here is what actually separates them, and how we decide which one builds your room.

The design should lead, and the line should follow
Most shops carry one tier and steer every project into it. We carry semi-custom and fully custom lines, which means we can design the room first and then choose the line that builds it within your budget — rather than shrinking the design to fit what we happen to stock.
That also means we can mix. A fully custom island with semi-custom perimeter cabinetry is a common and sensible answer when the budget is real.
What we build
Three tiers, honestly described
Stock cabinetry
Fixed sizes in fixed increments, off the shelf. It is the cheapest and the fastest, and it works when the room happens to suit the sizes. When it does not, you get filler panels and dead corners.
Fully custom cabinetry
Built to your dimensions with no size constraints, in the species, finish, and construction you choose. It is what you want for inset doors, awkward rooms, and anything that has to be furniture rather than cabinetry.

The design is settled first, so the line is chosen to build it rather than to limit it.

Questions
What people ask before they start
For most kitchens, yes. Modern semi-custom lines modify depths, heights, and widths, and the difference shows mainly in unusual rooms and in inset doors. We will tell you plainly when a room genuinely needs fully custom.
