When in the build should cabinetry go in?

After flooring and before countertop templating, on most jobs. We will look at your schedule and tell you where it fits.

Will you remove the old cabinets?

We can, and it is usually simpler if we do — it means the demolition and the set are sequenced by the same crew.

How long does installation take?

A bathroom is often a single day. A full kitchen is typically a few days. Larger jobs with built-ins and closets run longer, and we give you the schedule before we start.

What if something is wrong at the end?

That is what the punch list walk is for. You tell us, we write it down, and we come back and put it right before the job is closed out.

Overview

The install is where a cabinetry job is won or lost

Good cabinetry badly installed is a bad kitchen. Scribing to out-of-square walls, setting a level run across an uneven floor, and getting the reveals consistent across a long elevation is skilled work, and it is the last thing anyone sees.

So we do not subcontract it. Our crews install what we design and sell, which also means there is nobody to point at when something needs putting right.

Scheduling

Cabinetry sits at a specific point in the sequence — after the floor is in and before the countertop is templated. We schedule around your other trades and tell you early if a date is going to move.

Site preparation

Floors protected, walls checked for square and level, and existing cabinetry removed cleanly if that is part of the job. The prep is why the run goes in straight.

The punch list

We walk the finished job with you and write down everything that needs attention, however small. Then we come back and clear it. The job is finished when you say it is.
